Harvesting & Care

of your

MICROGREENS

The USDA suggests that all produce be washed before consuming. This is due to the pesticides and handling of produce before you purchase it. We never use pesticides on our microgreens and we never handle the greens after seeding. We use disposable gloves when filling our delivery containers in an effort to insure that your microgreens are clean and free from contamination. But if you choose to wash your greens, please follow these instructions:

When rinsing microgreens be careful not to be aggressive with the sprayer. Most microgreens are very delicate and only require a light rinse.

                                  Keep your microgreens refrigerated

Only cut the greens you need and store the rest in the refrigerator in their original biodegradable container.  Cut your greens about 3/8" above the pads they're rooted in.

Microgreens are meant to be eaten raw; stems and all

Give them a splash of water every few days to keep the medium from drying out. This will insure your microgreens will stay fresh and alive for days.

Use microgreens  on sandwiches, wraps, and soups; in juices and smoothies; toss into salads and pasta or sprinkle on pizza and eggs. Be creative.
